Inviting a player to pre-register before they arrive
The Buzzshot app strives to be as a quick and easy to use as possible, allowing you to collect player details with little friction. However, time is often tight before a game and especially with larger groups it would be useful to have their information before they even arrive.
The Pre-Register features gives you that. You can ask the system to send players invite emails containing a link that lets them pre-register, agreeing to your waiver and giving their name, phone number (and any other information you'd like to collect) before they even walk in your door.
The form also allows players to invite more people. So if you just have the email of the person who booked that's fine, you can let them invite the rest!
How to send an invite email
- Log into the Buzzshot admin on your computer
- Click "Create Group"
- Give the group a name (you'll need to find it later when the the players arrive) and select a room (you can change this later)
- Enter in the email address you have for the team leader
- Click "Create New Group
An email invite will be sent to the address you gave. The team will also show up in the app, so when the team arrives you can select it and add an extra players.
How to customize the emails sent
There are two types of emails sent by this feature. There's the "Buzzshot to Player" email sent when you invite a player and there's the "Player to Player" email sent when that player in turn invites their teammates.
You can edit both of those emails at https://buzzshot.com/admin/settings/emails/
Send an invite link by some other method
If you want an invite link so you can send it by Whatsapp or text or some other method you can get one.
- Log into the Buzzshot admin on your computer
- Click "Create Group"
- Give the group a name (you'll need to find it later when the the players arrive) and select a room (you can change this later)
- Leave the email field blank
- Click "Create New Group
- Copy the Invite Link that Buzzshot will now display
Automate sending invite emails with Bookeo or Xola integration
If you use Bookeo for your bookings you can use the new Bookeo integration to automate sending of the invite emails. Once you activate Bookeo integration an email will be sent to each person who makes a booking inviting them to pre-register. There is a similar integration for Xola with more coming soon, let us know which booking system we should integrate with next!
